About the Program
Human-rights violations occur in every region of the world, and many people face violence, abuse, unfair treatment or restrictions on fundamental freedoms. Sustainable change begins by helping people understand their rights and equipping future health professionals to protect them.
Jordan has hosted large refugee populations, including people living in camps and communities across the country. Alongside the needs of refugees, poverty, orphanhood, disability and domestic violence create an urgent need for compassionate, rights-based support.
The Humanitarian Relief program responds through education, community support and supervised action. It is grounded in the responsibility to help people in need, oppose injustice and support equal treatment and dignity for everyone.
