University of Jordan Local Committee

History

IFMSA-Jo/UJLC was established in 2007 as the second branch of IFMSA-Jo, with a vision of creating a space where medical students could develop their skills, discover their potential and translate their passion into meaningful action. Built and driven by medical students, UJLC has fostered initiative, leadership and dedication, empowering students to engage in community service and contribute to positive change.

To build an empowered, connected and socially responsible community of medical students equipped to shape healthcare and medical education locally and globally.

Mission

To develop a student body that introduces future physicians to national and global health issues and equips them with the skills to shape healthcare and medical education systems.

Objectives

• Empower medical students to transform their knowledge, skills and capacities into meaningful community impact.
• Develop future leaders through capacity building, professional development, scientific engagement and personal growth.
• Bridge medical education with real-world healthcare and enable students to contribute to improving medical education.
• Foster research, innovation and knowledge exchange through scientific activities, research opportunities, exchanges and training.
